Carlson Gracie BJJ’s existing Webflow website was not up-to-date. The design was clunky and slow, and overall not visually appealing. They wanted a website that accurately showcased their academy, the Carlson Gracie BJJ team, and their classes.
The functionality was a concern, as their class times were unclear and difficult to find. This negatively impacted the user experience and how search engines crawled their site. The website was frustrating to navigate.
The project was complicated by a network of 60 blogs that needed to be optimised and appropriately migrated to retain their SEO rankings.
We redesigned the website and built it on Webflow. While retaining the minimalistic feel, we also ensured it incorporated the brand’s aesthetic. The new website clearly tells Carlson Gracie BJJ’s story and showcases important information for web visitors, like where the academy is located, their class times, and how to get in touch.
Using Webflow for the design and development meant we could build a fast and easy-to-navigate website quickly. With speed in mind, building on Webflow provided Carlson Gracie BJJ with a responsive website, attributed to Webflow’s design blocks, no code bloat and no excessive add-ons.
We also migrated all content from their original WordPress website, including 60 blogs. Well-structured, quality imagery and a simple design ensured their SEO rankings were maintained during the content migration.
